All is calm. All is comfy. We can take care of the comfy part pretty well over here at iteration. We've got the softest bras + undies made from ultra-luxe TENCEL™ Modal. But the calm part - that can be harder to find, especially during the holiday season.
It's a time that's all too easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of shopping, cooking, and socializing. The holidays are often rushed, packed with extra activities, may require travel, and most likely include a long to-do list.
Yet finding calm, especially when the world around us gets brighter, more festive, and busier is precisely when we need to find it most. To maintain your sense of calm (or to attempt to find it) during the holidays, follow these 5 practices:

1. Define what an incredible holiday would be for you
Maybe it's spending time with family or fitting in that 1 special activity like cookie-baking with your aunt, or attending your city's tree lighting ceremony. Prioritizing what's important ahead of time helps cancel out the distracting noise when you're in the middle of the holiday season.
2. Simplify to commitments that matter
Social calendars can get busy, and it's ok to say no. Spending the night in watching Home Alone for the 37th time might be just what's needed. A handy bonus tip is to have a pre-set response for declining the things that don't fit. This way, when the invite comes in you can respond right away without having to overthink what to say or add another to-do item to respond later. A simple example: "that sounds like an amazing XXXX, but unfortunately it does not fit with my holiday calendar this year".
3. Plan for when things get stressful
Extended family time, busy calendars, botched holiday recipes. Things can go haywire quickly. Have a go-to tactic to reduce stress in the moment like deep breaths, fresh air, or taking a walk.
4. Set spending limits
Whether it's part of a group swap or your own gift giving, sticking to a budget will save headaches come the January cc bill.
5. Pick a daily ritual
Pick one thing to do each day that brings joy and relaxation. Journaling, yoga, daily coffee, putting on your fave intimates to feel put together and ready to go (just sayin' ...it really does make a difference😉).
Prioritizing your wellbeing is critical for finding calm during the holidays. While there's bound to be some stressors, hopefully these tips can help. Wishing you a happy (and calm) holiday season!
